A Place for Everyone Message

Last week I preached the second message of a series called "A Place for Everyone." Here's the video we shot that was supposed to run last week instead, I ended up preaching it live on stage.

Here's a link where you can watch the message or download it for yourself. I appreciate the feedback.

Watched these videos last week and they FIRED ME UP!! If you've never heard of Perry Noble you need to check him out here or subscribe to his podcast on itunes. Perry isn't scared to speak the truth and doesn't hold anything back! These main stage sessions are pretty long but worth it.

This article FORCED me to post!

If you are reading this then you probably know my affection for Twitter. I believe there is amazing power behind those 140 characters. Power to unite people, to take relationships to next steps and power to share our lives with each other in a new, non-imposing but totally specific way. Lance Armstrong (yes THAT Lance Armstrong) who I follow on Twitter posted this article today from the USA Today about the impact of Twitter.

Here's the article:

People it's legit and it's not going away. Sign up at twitter.com, follow people and share YOUR life with others. Will you embrace the technology and leverage it for the cause of love, ministry and Christ? Or will you miss the opportunity to do something great for Christ?

Givging of Thanks!

Sarah and I made the 5 hour journey northward as many members of the Lombardo/Blair family would commune at Grandma Mary's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Sarah's homeland of Camdenton, MO is surrounded by beautiful hills, The Lake of the Ozarks and the wildly famous Osage Beach Premium Outlets. This outlet mall takes the term "Black Friday" to new heights. The locks on many mega store doors are turned before the sun makes first light and they roll out their discounted goodies to rabid customers who won't be denied that $3 can opener! However, the outlet mall of Osage Beach opens EXACTLY on the stroke of Black Friday. Having heard of the legend of midnight shopping seven of us were unable to deny the pull of possible sales missed! When we arrived parking was scarce and people were plentiful. The line to checkout at the Nike store was more than 35 minutes at 2:00am! I was amazed at the dedication to the deal for so many people and yet I was right in the middle of it. We've been at the Lombardo house for nearly 72 hours and I've spent less than 45 minutes in specific dedicated time with the Lord! That's about 1% of my time here! I will sacrifice sleep, health and sanity to be a part of the largest shopping day of the year but I can't seem to find opportunities to be a part of the the GREATEST story ever told? Thanksgiving- a time for to remember and give thanks...or is it? For me, it WILL be. What about you?

I'm Here!!! It's the beginning

Well, it's officially official, I've started my blog. The title of this blog entry is borrowed from an 83 year old man who works out at the Y in the mornings named Carl. "I'm here, it's the beginning" is one of his three answers to the questions "how are are you doing Carl?" I'm excited about what's to come through the ol' blog. Welcome to the first installment.
